"Our kitchen ceiling is not very high, and my husband is over six feet, but I wanted something a little more elegant and substantial than a flushmount fixture. This has a nice, shallow profile but still looks great. We do not have this over a table - it might be a bit too high over a table? Depends on your taste. It's perfect for the center of our appliance area with nothing under it, because even the tallest people can walk under it. Love it!"
