Good Tabletop Magnifier Lamp

"Good for tabletop/desk use, when you can't use an attachable magnifier lamp. You must be sitting at a height, however, that you can look straight down through the magnifier rather than at an angle. If the magnifier is tilted at an angle you can get a bit of a headache from the distortion, and on two of the three I purchased the gooseneck was too weak to keep the magnifier horizontal (so that you could look through it straight down) if you bent the gooseneck fully."
