Nice lamp for the money but ...

"We do not usually buy merchandise online; I am a brick and mortar girl. After searching high and low for this kind of lamp, I found that this type of lamp is not readily available in home centers. At lighting stores, these type of lamps are usually more expensive. I bought two of these lamps for my bedroom; one on each side of the bed. By doing this, I gain space on my end tables.
The quality control on this fixture is poor. This lamp requires a mounting plate to be first installed on the wall. Then, the fixture itself is attached to the mounting plate with three screws. After I installed the mounting plate, I couldn't get the screws to line up with the holes on the mounting plate (to attach the lamp to the wall). This was very frustrating. Upon examination, I found that the back of the mounting plate was not flush with the back of the fixture. This caused the holes on the fixture to not be aligned with the holes on the mounting plate.
For other customers buying this lamp, it is recommended that they examine how the mounting plate fits within the fixture. If the mounting plate is not perfectly aligned with the back of the fixture, it is necessary to make adjustments when the mounting plate is attached to the wall. The screw holes will then be aligned making it much easier to attach the lamp to the mounting plate.
All in all, we are glad to have the lamps in our bedroom. They look nice and they do not cost an arm and two legs."
